BoomBit Group revenue in April 2021

The total BoomBit Group revenue from games reached a record USD 5.7M (+10.4%) in April. Marketing costs amounted to USD 3.3M (+10.9%), while platform fees were 0.4M USD (+46.5%). Revenue less UA & platform fees was around USD 2M (+4.8%) and was the same as the record level set in March 2021. The total number of downloads for the BoomBit Group in April was over 22M.

In April we set a new record monthly revenue. Last month, we significantly increased the revenue from GaaS games, mainly thanks to “Hunt Royale” which has very good retention and monetization KPI’s. We also achieved satisfactory results in the hyper-casual segment, where, apart from the excellent performance of “Shoe Race,” our older games like “Slingshot Stunt Driver” and “Bike Jump” contributed significantly as well. We are very happy with such results, taking into account that April is shorter than March and that we begun to scale “Hunt Royale,” ie. a midcore (GaaS) game, which has a longer period of return on investment than hyper-casual games. And if it wasn’t for a fall in the USD / PLN exchange rate, in April we would have also reported a record level of revenue less UA & platform fees, ca. 5% higher than in March – says Marcin Olejarz, President of BoomBit S.A.

Another record month was supported by two successful releases from March and good results from other games in the group’s portfolio. Hyper-casual game “Shoe Race” launched on March 16th as well as GaaS game “Hunt Royale” released on March 26th generated very good results in April. “Shoe Race,” which was developed by Cappuccino in cooperation with the publishing team BoomHits, had over 8M downloads in April alone and around 11M in total. “Hunt Royale” has been downloaded 0.6M times last month.

In the last week of April, two new titles hit the market – “Make It Fly” from TapNice and “Idle Inventor – Factory Tycoon”.

We have a good and strong portfolio of games thanks to which we have been achieving fantastic results for the last months. We are also excited about our new titless – “Make It Fly” from TapNice and new GaaS game “Idle Inventor – Factory Tycoon.” Since they were only released recently, their contribution to last month’s results was relatively small.
