We achieved good results in July. Due to a lack of major premieres, however, they were slightly lower than in the three previous, record months. Currently, we have about 40 games at various stages of development, in the coming weeks some of them will proceed to the scaling phase and we hope that they will positively support the results in the next months.

As in previous months, Hyper-Casual games were the main source of revenue in July. The mid-core game Hunt Royale, which had its premiere in March and will be further developed in the coming months, also showed very promising results. So far, the game has 1.6 million downloads, and the revenue per player is significantly higher than in Hyper-Casual games.

One of the best-performing games in July was Make It Fly, developed by TapNice, one of our joint ventures. The commercial success of the game is a confirmation of the effectiveness of the BoomBit business model, which is based on three pillars – internally developed games, publishing games developed by independent studios and cooperation in joint ventures model. We want to further develop the joint ventures segment and we are talking to several potential partners in this area.

Google cut Google Play app store fees from 30% to 15% on the first USD 1 M in sales for calendar year starting from 1st of July 2021 which is the reason for significant decrease in platform fees in the current month. After developers cross the USD 1 M threshold in a year, Google will charge a standard rate of 30% fee. Threshold for 2021 is reduced on a pro rata basis to USD 0.5 M.

BoomBit is doing well in the context of the change of Apple’s privacy policy. The share of people who agree to share their data in BoomBit games is 39%, higher than the market average. The change introduced by Apple is relatively new and both game developers and the advertising market are adapting to the new situation, which should be supportive for the results of the coming months.
